About This Service

Since the first isolation of influenza viruses in 1993, influenza vaccines have continued to be developed, until as recently as 2012, the World Health Organization (WHO) recommended adding the B-strain to another vaccine to more effectively prevent influenza: the Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine, which covers the following four strains of the virus:

1. Influenza virus strain A/H1N1

2. Influenza virus A/ H3N2

3. Victoria family B influenza virus

4. Influenza virus strain B, family Yamagata

The World Health Organization recommends vaccination against four strains of influenza as it is more effective in preventing influenza.
