Frozen Embryo Transfer (Frozen Cycle) is the process of embryo transplantation into the prepared endometrium after thawing frozen embryo.
Benefits of FET:
* The success rate is 32% higher than Fresh Embryo Transfer. Abortion rate tends to decrease as Frozen Embryo Transfer has more time for endometrium preparation. While the Fresh cycle, the endometrium will be stimulated to retrieve ovums, causing endometrial hyperplasia which does not support the implantation.
* The process can be used for couples who need Preimplantation Genetic Testing. As before the genetic testing procedure, the placenta cells biopsy is needed. Therefore, freezing embryo is needed before the genetic testing procedure.
