Vaccine Against Dengue: Qdenga, Dengue Tetravalent Vaccine (Live, Attenuated)

 Efficacy: The vaccine can prevent dengue viral infection for 80%. It covers all 4 strains of dengue virus which are DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4. Moreover, it can lower the risks of hospitalization for 90%.

 Suitable for: Individual at age 4-60 years

 Dosage and vaccination schedule: 2 Doses by subcutaneous injection. First dose is upon your convenient time. Second dose will be proceeded in the third month after the first dose. However, people who used to have dengue hemorrhagic fever can receive this vaccine when getting recovery from the disease for 6 months.

 Side effects: People may experience the pain on the injection area, headache, muscle pain but the symptoms will be gone spontaneously within 1-3 days.

 Cautions: Since it is a live vaccine, it is not recommended to those who are taking immunosuppressants, patients during chemotherapy, HIV patients, people with immune disorders, pregnant women, and breastfeeding women.
