Q-switched Nd: YAG

 

Q-switched Nd: YAG is a laser used to destroy abnormal pigmentation in the skin. There are two types of wavelengths 1) 1064 nm and 2) shorter wavelengths 532 nm, but doubling the frequency of 532 nm by each wavelength can be used to treat different pigment disorders such as freckles, sunburn, freckles of the elderly. The 1064 nm wavelength laser is used to destroy the abnormal pigment in deep skin such as melasma, birthmark. Q-switched Nd: YAG laser is shot into the skin for a short time to destroy abnormal pigment and also does not damage other surrounding tissues in any ways.

 

Toning Laser

Toning laser is the use of Q-switched Nd: YAG to remove freckles which are difficult to treat. This type of laser shoots more energy than other conventional lasers. It shoots over a wide area in a short distance without damaging other skin tissues and choose to destroy only the pigment melanin. The pain is very little while doing the laser. After the laser, the skin color does not get darker and does not expand. This is a new technology treatment.

Recommendations After the Treatment

1. The skin at the treated area may become swollen or red on the day of laser treatment. But it will be almost completely disappeared the following day.

2. You can wash your face the next day. But if possible, avoid touching the treated area for a few days.

3. You can do make up when your skin starts to scab. But avoid makeup on the laser area if possible.

4. Usually the scabs will come off after 1 week of laser treatment, or in some cases it may come off as soon as 5-6 days or gradually at 10-12 days.

5. After the scabs have been naturally removed, the skin will be white. But if the scab is forcefully removed, your skin will be red and abnormal pigmentation may occur, so do not remove the scab yourself.

6. After all the scabs are removed, the skin will be very sensitive. Therefore, have to apply sunscreen every time before leaving the house.

7. After the laser, abnormal pigmentation may occur again. It is recommended to apply the cream to prevent abnormal pigmentation for longer results.
