About This Service
Parkinson's disease is a type of neurodegenerative disorder, the second most common after Alzheimer's disease. It involves the degeneration of brain cells in the basal ganglia, which is responsible for producing a neurotransmitter called dopamine. Dopamine plays a crucial role in controlling body movements. When the chemical balance in the brain is disrupted, it leads to abnormal movement control.
