Is it time to "get new glasses"? You can check with these signs:
- Blurry vision: If you wear your old glasses and the vision that used to be clear is now blurry, it could be because your eyesight has changed.
- Double vision: This is often caused by astigmatism. You should get your eyes checked and change your glasses soon.
- Eye strain or headaches: If wearing your old glasses causes discomfort or headaches, and the symptoms improve after removing the glasses, it's a clear sign that your prescription no longer matches your vision needs.
Although there's no strict rule on how often you should change your glasses, it's important to have regular eye health checkups every year. You should also replace your glasses whenever your vision changes. Trying to squint or strain your eyes to see clearly can make your eye muscles work harder to focus, which could negatively affect your eye health in the long term.
Examination List: 1.Pupil Dilatation to examine the retina (Pupil Dilatation) and/or Retinal examination with Fundus Camera.
2.Measure intraocular pressure without contact (Tonometer Without Contact).
3.Detailed eye examination with Slit Lamp.
4.Measure the thickness of the macula and optic nerve head (Optical Coherence Tomography: OCT).
5.Comprehensive eye examination using computerized equipment.
6.Examination by an ophthalmologist, including general eye health check-up, glaucoma screening, and cataract examination.
