Steps to prepare for stroke screening program
1. For patients with renal disease, it should be at the physician's discretion to inject the contrast agent.
2. Abstain from breastfeeding in patients receiving contrast agent injections.
3. In patients with fear of claustrophobia, anesthesia may be considered to keep the patient immobile during the examination.
4. Although there are no reports of side effects on the fetus, but if it is not absolutely necessary, it will not be tested in pregnant patients, especially in the first 3 months.
5. In pediatric patients requiring anesthesia, the patient must fast for at least 4 hours before receiving the drug.
6. Patients with metal implants in the body, such as aneurysm clips, metal artificial heart valves, orthodontic braces, pacemakers, artificial knee joints, must inform the staff before entering the examination room as it may be dangerous.
7. Patients must remove jewelry, dentures, and all metal accessories before undergoing an MRI vascular examination.
8. If a contrast medium is injected, the test result must be no more than 1 month and must refrain from food and drink 4-6 hours before the examination.
9. Having a history of surgery must inform the staff before entering the examination room because it may be dangerous.
