About This Service
The test is performed using the Skin Prick Test method on the inner forearm for children aged 2 years and older who have respiratory or airborne allergies. This type of allergy is related to the nose, as the nose is a part of the respiratory system that helps filter dust and foreign particles, and regulates the body's temperature before substances pass into the bronchial tubes. The nose contains nasal cavities and mucous membranes that become inflamed when exposed to allergens for extended periods.
Symptoms of airborne allergies include nasal congestion, clear nasal discharge, frequent sneezing, itching in the nose, and post-nasal drip, but without fever. It may also cause itchy eyes and is often chronic, becoming more severe and frequent during the winter months. The most common times when symptoms occur are in the early morning and late at night. Additionally, complications such as sinusitis and snoring may occur.
